One practice.
Five reasons people come in.

Each row shows what we do, how it’s usually paid for and how long it takes. A starting point for your first visit, not a diagnosis.

A mole that bleeds, itches or changes quickly should be seen within days. Call and tell us; we keep same-week slots for it.

Thirty minutes,
every inch.

A first skin check takes about half an hour and is covered by most insurance plans: your history, a full-body exam, a closer look at anything unusual and, if needed, a biopsy the same day.

Check-in

Forms arrive by text before your visit, so check-in takes two minutes. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID.

Your history

Sunburns, tanning, family history and any spot you’ve noticed. Point it out; you know your skin better than anyone.

Head-to-toe exam

Scalp, face, nails, between the toes and the places the sun never reaches, in good light. A chaperone is yours on request.

0:20

Dermoscopy

Anything unusual goes under a dermatoscope, a lit magnifier that shows the pattern below the surface, and is photographed for your chart.

Plan in plain words

What’s harmless, what to watch and what we’d test. Prescriptions go straight to your pharmacy before you leave.

0:30

Same-day biopsy

If a spot needs testing, it takes a few minutes with numbing. Results come back in 7 to 10 days and we call you either way.

That’s how long a new patient waits for a first visit here. We hold same-week slots for changing moles and keep a cancellation list that actually calls you back.

Two board-certified dermatologists, one of them a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, a physician assistant and a nurse injector. You keep the same provider, so your history stays in one pair of hands.

“Dr. Ruark found a spot on my shoulder I had never seen. Biopsy that afternoon, Mohs two weeks later, and a scar my husband can’t find.”
