Skin Cancer
Face, scalp, ears & back
Skin checks every 3-6 months for two years
Most insurance and Medicare accepted
Most skin cancers grow slowly and are cured when caught early. A yearly full-body check finds them while they are small, and Mohs surgery removes them with the smallest possible scar.
Signs to look for
A pearly or pink bump, a sore that won’t heal, a rough scaly patch that bleeds, or a mole that changes size, shape or color.
Treatment options
Biopsy the same day as your skin check, with results in 7 to 10 days.
Mohs surgery, excision or, for some early cancers, prescription creams and light therapy, chosen with you.
Questions we hear
Why does Denver see so much sun damage? UV gets stronger with altitude, and a mile up it adds up faster than most people expect, even in winter.
Does Mohs leave a big scar? Usually a smaller one than other surgery, because only the cancer and a very thin margin are removed.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Results vary from person to person, and every treatment carries some risk. A spot that bleeds, grows quickly or looks unlike your others should be seen within days.
