Acne comes from oil, clogged pores, bacteria and inflammation, and hormones play a part for many adults. Prescription treatment works on all four, and we keep adjusting until your skin is clear.

Signs to look for

Blackheads and whiteheads, red bumps, deep painful cysts along the jaw, and dark marks or scars where spots have healed.

Treatment options

Prescription retinoids, antibiotics or hormonal treatment, matched to your skin and your plans.

Isotretinoin with monthly visits for severe or scarring acne.

Questions we hear

How long until I see a difference? Most people see change at 8 to 12 weeks. The first month can look slightly worse.

Is acne treatment covered by insurance? The visits and most prescriptions usually are. Peels for leftover marks are self-pay.

This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Results vary from person to person, and every treatment carries some risk. A spot that bleeds, grows quickly or looks unlike your others should be seen within days.
