Sun Damage & Aging Skin
Face, neck, chest & hands
Yearly skin check, cosmetic series as planned
Most insurance and Medicare accepted
Sun exposure adds up, and more so at altitude. Some rough spots are precancerous and need treatment; the rest can be improved with prescription creams, lasers, peels and injectables.
Signs to look for
Brown spots on the face and hands, rough scaly patches, fine lines and wrinkles, broken vessels, and thin, uneven skin on the chest.
Treatment options
Freezing or field treatment for precancerous spots, usually covered by insurance.
IPL, fractional laser, peels, neurotoxin and filler for cosmetic change, self-pay at menu prices.
Questions we hear
Which part is covered by insurance? Treating precancerous spots usually is. Cosmetic treatment of brown spots and wrinkles is not.
Can I have laser in summer? Some lasers, with strict sun protection. Deeper treatments are best from October to April.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Results vary from person to person, and every treatment carries some risk. A spot that bleeds, grows quickly or looks unlike your others should be seen within days.
