A gloved hand placing a drop of solution on the inside of a patient’s forearm

Six services, one chart

Medical first,
cosmetic when
you want it.

Most visits combine a few of these. We explain why we recommend each one, whether insurance usually covers it and what it costs if it doesn’t.

Gloved hands checking the skin on a patient’s upper back

20-30 minutes, self-pay $150

Skin cancer checks

A head-to-toe exam, scalp to soles, with a dermatoscope for any spot that looks different from the rest. Suspicious spots are photographed for your chart and can be biopsied the same day.

Good for

Adults once a year, and every 3 to 6 months after a skin cancer, with many moles or with melanoma in the family.

A lab technician looking through a microscope beside slide trays

Half a day, covered by most plans

Mohs surgery

Our fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon removes the cancer one thin layer at a time and checks each layer under the microscope while you wait. It spares healthy skin, which matters most on the face.

Good for

Basal and squamous cell cancers on the face, ears, scalp and hands, where every millimeter of skin counts.

A man scooping a thick prescription cream from a tin

20-40 minutes, covered by most plans

Medical dermatology

Diagnosis and long-term care for acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss and rashes, from prescription creams to biologics. We handle the prior authorizations.

Good for

Children from age 6 and adults, including anyone who has tried the drugstore options and is still waiting for a change.

A procedure tray with sterile instruments, dressings and saline bottles

15-30 minutes, from $165 self-pay

Mole & growth removal

Shave, punch or excision for moles, cysts, skin tags and seborrheic keratoses, with every removed mole sent to a lab. Cryotherapy for warts and precancerous spots.

Good for

Spots that have changed, catch on clothing or simply bother you. Removing a harmless spot for looks is self-pay.

A blue-gloved injector placing a small dose of neurotoxin in a woman’s forehead

15-45 minutes, $14 a unit

Injectables

Neurotoxin to soften forehead, frown and crow’s-feet lines, and hyaluronic acid filler for lips, cheeks and jawline, placed by a dermatologist or our nurse injector.

Good for

Adults who want a small, natural change. First plans start low, with a free check at two weeks.

A technician in black gloves using a laser handpiece on a woman wearing protective glasses

30-60 minutes, from $175

Laser & peels

IPL for brown spots and redness, fractional laser for texture and acne scars, and chemical peels in three strengths. Settings are chosen for your skin type after a test spot.

Good for

Sun damage, broken vessels, melasma and acne scars. Most series are three sessions a month apart.
